Backgrounder Cattle Prices Remain Strong at Toogoolawah Store Sale
Shepherdson and Boyd reported a larger yarding of 1820 head of cattle for their fortnightly Store Sale at Toogoolawah on the 6th of February. Feeder steers have had a slight price correction in the last two week, however on the day sold very firm and slightly above expectations for the weeks market. Backgrounder and weaner steers sold extremely well with strong support from western and buyers. The feeder heifer market was slightly easier in line with the correction in the feeder heifer market. Backgrounder and potential feeder heifers sold exceptionally well.
