Agent Shepherdson and Boyd reported a mixed quality yarding of 1297 head of cattle at their fortnightly Toogoolawah Store Sale on the 28th of April. Better quality line of feeder steers and weaner steers remained firm, with the second-rate cattle easing slightly. The weaner heifer market remained tough easing by around $50/head. The feeder heifer market sold to a competitive panel of buyers and remained firm across the board for the ideal trade feeder heifer. Quality pens of preg tested in calf cows sold strong with the older and second grade cows selling in line with meat works prices.
