Shepherdson and Boyd reported a yarding of 1550 head of cattle at Toogoolawah on Friday the 18th of February. A very good yarding of cattle came to hand and sold to strong competition. Cattle were sourced from Eidsvold, Gayndah, Nanango, Manumbar, Maleny, Dayboro, Kilcoy, Crows Nest, Fernvale, Beaudesert, Boonah, Kalbar, and all local areas.

Harzer & Co of Gayndah sold a good run of Droughtmaster x Feeder steers 20-24mths old with pens selling to $2620, $2570 & $2480/head. Ed Kemmis – Matterson of Kilcoy sold a quality pen of Droughtmaster steers 20 – 24 mths old for $2600/head. The heifer market this week was very strong, with a good line of replacement quality unjoined, Santa heifers coming to hand and selling exceptionally well. D & S Kelly of Nanango sold 14mth old Speckle Park heifers for $2650/head. Droughtmaster heifers 18-20mths old from Gatton sold for $2440/head.
